One of the oldest faculties of Ain-Shams University. It started in 1942 as the Institute of Financial and Commercial Sciences, located in Munira, Cairo. The Institute was developed, annexed to Ain-Shams University as the Faculty of Commerce in l950, and moved to the present location of the faculty in Abbassia in 1969.

Ain Shams University, was founded in July 1950 (although its oldest faculty dates back to 1835) under the name of "Ibrahim Pasha University" it was the third Egyptian University … Ain Shams is the Arabic Word for "O'N" the oldest university in history and the center of knowledge and learning 5000 years ago.
When it was first established, Ain Shams University comprised a number of distinguished faculties and academic institutes, which were later developed into university.
